Global Day of Prayer 2014
Around 200 folks from the Black Country gathered together on Sunday evening for the Global day of prayer, joining with millions of others around the globe, repenting, asking God to come and transform our land.
We gathered around empty tables in response to the word of The Lord, sharing with one another our hopes and dreams for the Black Country, our towns, streets, friends & families
To represent our land ‘we’ put the map of the BC on the table and symbols of the fruit of it’s labours eg coal, chain, veg, glass. On boxes we wrote our churches and ‘considered our ways’ (Haggai 1:7) what we are involved in, also things that exhaust us. We placed these on the table as a humble offering to The Lord and acknowledged how our sin affects the land.

Please Lord clear the clutter of our lives we want to create a space for You to come! After clearing the tables of our symbolic clutter and laying it at the cross we joined hands in worship and sung ‘come let us adore Him’ Lord, We welcome you into the heart of the Black Country.

The banner of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton & the Black Country flag were laid on the table followed by the Cross. Everyone shared the bread and wine together in unity around the table
Gods light will come and expose sharp practices! Let’s watch for signs of Him coming! The Lord is waiting and longing for us to come humbly to Him. We come before you Lord with empty hands and on our knees.
