I am happy to let you know that Hawbush Community Gardens came out in the lead (subject to audit check) in the October-November round of the ASDA Green Tokens scheme. This means that we will receive £500 from ASDA, a great boost for us as we continue to maintain and develop the Gardens for the benefit of the Hawbush Community and the increasing number of community groups and individuals who access and enjoy the site. So I do thank God for His favour at Hawbush Gardens, in this case, through your wonderful support.
A thank you to the comms team, too, for posting our request in the Church Family News emails which meant you were not subjected to the frequent, annoying and irritating reminders I sent to so many others in my address book.
If you haven’t been to Hawbush Gardens for a while, please do visit if you have a chance – I hope you will see a few changes! This really is a wonderful location, almost an oasis of peace & beauty with great potential for good in a difficult area. I need to thank you, our church family, not just for your green token votes, but for so much help over the last few years with events, through prayer support, through your interest and through volunteering, both as individuals and groups (like youth mission). God bless you all.
– Ken Smith, on behalf of Hawbush Community Gardens
