Journey Morning – Can you see? ‘I AM’ at work.

Over the past 8 weeks or so we have been focusing on seven of the ‘I AM’ statements found in John’s Gospel. This is Jesus revealing to each of us His nature and character, the reality of who He is. These statements are not just ‘fun facts’ that we should learn about Jesus, but deep realities that impact upon our everyday lives. One of the dangers of church life is that we turn up week in, week out to learn more about God, but never actually encounter Him in a real way in our day to day lives.
This Sunday we want to spend some time together proclaiming the great truth that God is at work, if you like ‘I AM’ is at work. We want to look at how the things we have heard in our ‘I AM’ series play out in our lives and how they reveal the truth of who Jesus is.
We will share stories from right here in our own area of some of the ways that the great ‘I AM’ is revealing the truth of His power, majesty, wisdom and mercy. And we will consider together how the great ‘I AM’ is at work in our lives too.
The truth is ‘I AM’ is at work.
The question is, can we see it?
