Old Testament prophets carried the word of God. In this role Jesus is the word of God, prophets called men back to God, Jesus becomes the way back to God, prophets spoke of the future, Jesus becomes the future from all of us. Where do we look for reassurance about our futures? In our pension plans? In a search for a prophetic word from someone? Or in Jesus?
