For those who don’t know about Saturday Special, I thought I’d tell you a bit about us.
Saturday Special is a group for adults with a learning disability. Our aim is to bring the love of God to these special people and we are constantly in awe of their simple uncluttered faith. The emphasis is on having lots of fun and our sessions are usually filled with laughter.
We meet once a month, usually on the first Saturday of the month from 10.30 until 1.00. We start with a cuppa and chat, followed by worship, a Bible message using drama and dance, a craft or game, prayer groups and lastly lunch.
Can I ask you to pray for our special people; some live independently, some live at home with parents and some live in care homes. Please pray also for their carers whether they be parents or paid employees.
If anyone would like to join our wonderful team of volunteers, there are many ways to be involved……helping in the kitchen, setting up, clearing up, chatting to people, helping with singing, dance, drama, craft. The list is endless!!
