Father Heart Teaching
Midweek in the month of June we asked Jonathan Bentley to come and open up what the bible teaches about the Fatherhood of God. He brought with him from his own congregation a team of people who spent the evening praying for those who attended with a particular focus at the end of the evening when Jonathan invited people to soak in God’s presence.
During the 6 weeks over 30 people gathered at different times to hear the message of the Father love. Many were deeply and profoundly touched by Jonathan’s teaching. Here are some of the stories of lives that have been touched by the Lord during this series.

Two years ago as I was travelling somewhere in my car I heard God clearly speak to me . He said “Do not seek the approval of man. I went to the cross and shed my blood for you, you are completely ACCEPTED by me”.
That started a journey of discovering” Who I am in Christ.” It hasn’t been an easy process, often painful , difficult and emotional as Father God has taken me through a process of up-rooting and digging up negative things that have been planted and remained buried for a long time. I went to Lee Abbey and cried for three days as God took me through things. He clearly showed me that I had felt a lack of significance and self worth due to negative words spoken over me throughout my life and also rejection by people.
I have spent the last couple of years building a wonderful intimate relationship with God. I have not particularly sought after new friendships because I felt it was a time whereby I wanted to spend quality time with The Father in intimate relationship.
He has poured out and lavished his love upon me and I am a very different person through encountering The Father’s love.
The Father Heart of God Course actually confirmed to me how far I had come on that journey, knowing that I have had a revelation of my position in Christ.
” You are not a victim” God spoke to me whist at Faldy – Brenin on a retreat. You are chosen and created to be Holy and blameless in My sight, you are adopted for My purpose and joy, you have been redeemed, forgiven and you belong to Me. And I have marked you in a very special way, by placing My personal seal upon you. I want your heart to be filled with My light.” Wow! When I fully came to realise the truth of those words, and how God sees me I changed so much. So anchored in Christ, so established and rooted in the Father’s love. Such security in Him. His words of Truth about me, spoken over my life, and not man’s opinion and negative words!
On the course I learned that now I understand my position in Christ then I also have God’s authority and power to do and say what Jesus did and said. This has transformed and revolutionised my prayer life. Amazing and extra-ordinary things have been happening in prayer.
Finally, I had a prophetic word given recently from a complete stranger . He merely prayed and said “God has had to take you through things to reveal to you who you are in Christ and he wants you to walk in His light” . “And restoration is coming”
How amazing is that- confirming what I already knew.
Jesus is awesome He wants us to be ” Free and complete in Him”
Just to say a final word, I really got a lot from “The soaking” time at the end of each session and appreciated the impartation.
I’ve been very transparent, but maybe my testimony may speak to someone and be of benefit.
