As part of Amblecote Christian Centre’s continuing mission to connect with people and organisations; culture relationships and help grow the regions’ productivity and charitable outreach, our very own John Cook attended this year’s Dudley Volunteer Awards!
Sponsored by Copthorne Hotel in Merry Hill, amongst many others – including Black Country Radio, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and Amblecote Christian Centre – the Awards celebrated the contributions from a splendid myriad of groups and inspiring individuals, all the way from highflying Joshua Dudley of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, to Ninder Kaur of Beacon Centre for the Blind, who’s unwavering reliability has been an asset to those whom she looks after.
There was even some entertainment at the event, from some of the boroughs most respected acts, including Dudley Mind Feelgood Choir and Dance Unity.
Chief Officer of Dudley CVS Andy Gray commented that the Volunteers are the Vth Emergency Service, giving essential support to those in need, and extended a massive thank you to every volunteer and organisation, praising their contributions to the community.
