Silver Saturday 2026 was a shining success! Over 60 people came together to enjoy celebrating creativity, fruitfulness and fun in later life – and eat lots of delicious homemade cake along the way! There was a wonderful variety of art and crafts on display, all lovingly created by members of our Faith Focus and ACC …
At Faith Focus in September we celebrated our 5th anniversary! Just as we did at the very first Faith Focus on 9th September 2021, we had a wonderful time of praise & thanksgiving, not just for God’s amazing goodness to us over the past 5 years, but for all the blessings received since the ministry …
What a happy afternoon we shared together at Faith Focus this month! We were so relieved when the England football team won their match the night before we met as it meant the England flags and serviettes decorating the lunch tables this month added to the celebrations rather than rubbed salt into the wounds! In …
After chatting together over another wonderful lunch, Faith Focus celebrated the ‘merry, merry month of May’, an unusual month due to it being bookended by 2 bank holidays. We firstly celebrated May Day and recreated the colour and merriment of the traditional maypole dance by singing (and waving coloured scarves instead of weaving ribbons!) along …
It was a busy Faith Focus this month with lots of happy activity and different donations being brought in! In February, our guests were tasked with donating 80 items for the Food Bank (thinking of the 40 days and 40 nights of Jesus’ wilderness experience that we consider during Lent). We had an amazing amount …

Inspired by the BBC programme ‘Money for Nothing’, where items are rescued from the rubbish dump and transformed into beautiful …
On Saturday 27th September, over 80 ‘shiny happy people’ met together for the afternoon to celebrate our annual Silver Saturday event! September brings a new season and a new start for many with the beginning of the academic year so Faith Focus had a ‘Back to School’ theme this month. Our ‘school dinner’ was cottage pie then rice pudding & jam but both courses were more appetising and tastier than how we remembered them from school …
Who’d have thought you could have all the fun of a day at the seaside here in land-locked Amblecote but at a special Faith Focus at the end of July we made it happen! Many of our Faith Focus guests are unable to travel now to enjoy either a holiday or even just day out, …
In conjunction with Dudley MBC’s Ageing Well Festival 2025, we are running Silver Saturday at ACC on Saturday 27th September, 1-3:30pm Celebrating how to live a happier and healthier later life!
Faith Focus was definitely in summer-mode last time we met! With a barbeque-themed main meal, followed by strawberries & cream reminding us of the start of Wimbledon, we were ready to celebrate the season of sunshine…and for once, the weather played along too! Our special guests for the afternoon were our good friends from the …
